Role Description

This will be a full-time remote role for a Senior Photonics Designer. The Senior Photonics Designer is responsible for the design of silicon photonics passive device and design optimization, including grating coupler, edge coupler, WDM Mux/Demux, PSR, etc. The successfull applicant is further responsible for the design of silicon photonics active device and design optimization, including modulator, and more. Moreover, the Senior Photonics Designer must set up a testing platform, then work with testing engineers to verify and complete their testing method and data analysis. The role will require interfacing with optical engineers to complete optical packaged design. The Senior Photonics Designer is also responsible for the communication with Silicon photonics Fabs to define the process.

Qualifications

• Master degree or above, major in optoelectronics, optical related
• At least 3 years or above related working experience
• Ability to communicate in English, both written and spoken
• Experience working with SOI and SiN platform
• Proficiency in use of Lumerical or other simulation software of waveguide optics, and HFSS, Comsol or other RF simulation software
• Expertise in using Luceda, Klayout, L-Edit, or other lay-out software
• Maintain a professional conduct
• Work well in a team

Senior RF Designer

Role Description

This is a Full-time Remote Senior RF Designer role at OneTouch Technology BV. The Senior RF Designer will be responsible for the design and development of high-speed packaging optical engines, evaluating relevant photonics high-speed devices according to different scenarios, designing and optimising complete high-speed optical links. In addition, this person will design and develop the whole link with electronic engineers and optical engineers. They will further manage the verification testing of device high frequency performance with test engineers and optical engineers. The Senior RF Designer will also be required to complete the whole project design with layout engineers.

Qualifications

• Majored in microwave RF, optoelectronics, or electronic communication related topics.
• More than 10 years of relevant experience; proficient in optoelectronic high-speed signal design, proficient in high-frequency simulation software, such as HFSS, ADS and other signal integrity design software
• Knowledge of the working principle of high-speed optoelectronic devices, design and optimise the whole high-speed link to achieve the best high-speed performance.
• Knowledge of the working principle of high-speed optoelectronic devices, design and optimise the whole optoelectronic high-speed link to achieve the best high-speed performance.
• Familiar with high-speed optoelectronic testing, including electrical and electrical, electrical and optical S-parameter test and eye diagram test, etc., and be able to do test analysis according to the test results.
• Familiar with high-speed optoelectronic devices and high-speed chip packaging process, such as HTCC, substrate, wire-bond, flip-flop and other processes.
• Proficient English reading and communication skills.
