Further responsibilities
- Recruitment: Take on the end-to-end recruitment process, from job descriptions, sourcing, and screening through interviews, offers, and onboarding, with a particular focus on specialized technical and engineering talent.
- HR Policies & Regulations: Develop, maintain, and update internal HR policies, employee handbooks, workplace regulations, and related documentation as the company grows.
- Employee Support: Act as a trusted point of contact for employees and management on HR-related questions and matters.
- HR Advisory: Advise leadership on the best HR practices, market benchmarks, employment matters, and compliance requirements.
- HR Structure: Help establish scalable HR processes and practices appropriate for a growing deep-tech organization.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as an HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, HR Consultant, or similar role.
- Solid knowledge of Belgian employment law, with specific experience in Flanders.
- Proven experience managing recruitment processes, ideally for technical, engineering, or other highly specialized positions.
- Experience developing, implementing, or updating HR policies and company regulations.
- Professional experience in photonics, semiconductors, fiber optics, silicon photonics, or a closely related deep-tech industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, combined with discretion and sound professional judgment.
- Able to work independently and take ownership in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
- Comfortable with a flexible, part-time consulting or employment arrangement.
